KCR supposedly ideal for this route, but there are limits to carry the baggage on board the train. Please check the following conditions for carrying luggage.
KCR is the most practical and if you only) in Guangzhou for 2 days (1 night, I think it is wiser to leave your luggage in Hong Kong, there are immense.
Flight is the best option for u. Less problem.

If only it was in Hong Kong for a short visit and then back to Guangzhou, then do not take the luggage.
You can fast on the train, or fly.
Do not take the train.
Probably easier to train for an hour to the airport and enter Hong Kong from the airport takes a little time.
